Lipedema is an underdiagnosed and often mismanaged condition that significantly impacts patient quality of life. Most physicians and surgeons receive little or no formal training in the diagnostic criteria, pathophysiology, or surgical approaches to lipedema. As a result, patients are often misclassified as obese, and effective treatment is delayed or denied.

The lack of integrated education spanning vascular, hormonal, and surgical aspects creates a fragmented standard of care. A digital, evidence-based course that unifies medical and surgical approaches is urgently needed to address this gap on a global scale.
