Liposuction for lipedema differs significantly from cosmetic liposuction. It demands in-depth understanding of lymphatic preservation, surgical planning by anatomical zones, fluid balance, and postoperative care. However, few training opportunities exist for surgeons to develop these specific skills in a controlled, mentored, and high-fidelity environment. Many procedures are performed without standardized techniques, leading to high rates of complications and suboptimal outcomes.
This course addresses the need for practical, anatomy-based surgical education with a low student-to-faculty ratio and direct mentorship on live cases.
