MAS – Mastering Abdominal Surgery

General Goal:
To provide an advanced and comprehensive learning experience in abdominoplasty that enhances surgical planning, technical confidence, and postoperative decision-making.

Specific Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

  • Identify key anatomical variables relevant to abdominal surgery.
  • Classify patients and select the appropriate abdominoplasty technique (mini, traditional, extended, anchor).
  • Apply best practices in flap handling, tension distribution, and umbilical reconstruction.
  • Integrate lipoabdominoplasty in a safe, reproducible way.
  • Implement strategies to reduce seroma, scar migration, and wound dehiscence.
  • Customize postoperative recovery plans based on surgery type and patient risk.
