ABS – Advanced Body Surgery

General Goal:
To enhance surgical precision, safety, and aesthetic outcomes in advanced abdominoplasty procedures through practical immersion and faculty-led mentorship.

Specific Learning Objectives:
Participants will be able to:

  • Perform patient assessment, planning, and anatomical markings tailored to individual profiles.
  • Execute abdominoplasty using protocols for flap dissection, plication, and closure by tension vectors.
  • Design and execute natural, low-placed umbilicoplasty.
  • Combine liposuction and abdominoplasty safely.
  • Prevent, identify, and manage intraoperative and postoperative complications.
  • Apply evidence-based strategies to reduce seromas, necrosis, and scar migration.
